"Hero" is the second play presented by the Instant Cafe Theatre Company under its FIRSTWoRKS playwriting banner. Written by Arun Subramaniam, this play deals with themes like politics, murder, family relationships and more. Sure sounds like the makings of a gripping drama! Its story centers on a family struggling to cope with the death of their father and husband, and is told through the point of view of his son, his wife and the dead man himself. As the story builds, we see that his death reveals some secrets and conspiracies that have the potential to affect a lot of people. It stars Indi Nadrajah and Anne James; directed by Jo Kukathas and Zalfian Fuzi. Take note that there is a 3pm show on the weekend as well.
